Lois Burns

Burns, Lois Anne of Glenham, and a life long area resident entered into rest Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. She was 77. Born March 28, 1939, in Beacon she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Kuhn Burns. Lois was a life member of Slater Chemical Ladies Aux., and a member of various community organizations, she was an avid Gardner and Knitter. Lois was also a graduate of Beacon High School, as well as a graduate of SUNY New Paltz. Survivors include: two sisters, Sandra Johnson of Glenham and her late husband Ralph and Elizabeth and her husband Gary Solomon of Quincy, MA., a niece, LeeAnn Brugger, three nephews, Ralph (Joanne) Johnson, Jeffrey Solomon and Eric (Andrea) Solomon, great-nieces & nephews, Stephanie Brugger, Daniel Brugger, Nathan Solomon, Madeline Solomon. Visitation will be held, Tuesday July 12, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY, where, at 12:30 PM services will be held. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D.
