Rose Marie Travis (Van Loan) Cable

Rose Marie Travis Cable, 91, a longtime Beacon resident passed away on December 6, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Rose Marie was born on April 14, 1927 in Gilboa, NY, daughter of the late Orville Van Loan & Florence Clum. She worked as a gardener at the Stone Crop Nursery in Cold Spring, NY. She was an avid fan of motorcycles, she was a member of the Lost Wheels Motorcycle Club of Beacon, and a member of the Gadabouts of Beacon. Rose Marie is survived by her 6 children: Marie Guadagno, Delbert Travis Jr., Shirley Laffin, Carol Gorey, Barbara Shabani and Margaret Daniels. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Delbert Travis and her daughter Elinor. Family & Friends will gather on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2-4pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon; where a service will be offered 4pm.
