Thomas I. Magagnos

Thomas I. Magagnos, 70, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away peacefully at his home on February 9, 2021 after a short terminal illness. He was born on January 9, 1951 in New York, NY, son of the late Charles & Helen (Illingworth) Magagnos. Tom attended and graduated from Beacon High School. On May 23, 1987, he married Maryann D. Synder, who survives him at home. Tom had a great love for American history, he enjoyed his volunteer work at the Mount Gulian Historic Site in Beacon, for 11-years. Tom will be remembered as a loyal beloved friend, who loved a laugh & a good Irish whiskey. He will be missed by the many who knew him. Along with his wife of 33-years of marriage, he is survived by his daughter Heather Brown and son-in-law Timothy Brown; his stepsons Andrew Eichhorn and Christopher (Jennifer) Eichhorn, his stepdaughter Erin (Joseph) Zukowski, and his stepdaughter-in-law Wendy Eichhorn. He leaves also his 5 grandchildren: Abigail & Henry Zukowski, Adam & Kacie Eichhorn, and Emily Brown. Tom is also survived by his brother and sister, Everett Magagnos and Joann King; he was predeceased by his 2 brothers: Charles & Gerald Magagnos. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the LIBBY FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, NY 12508. Due to the recent pandemic occurrence, the family will hold A Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
