Ada Vandegrift

Vandegrift, Ada of Beacon, entered into rest Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Wingate of Beacon. She was 90. Born July 23, 1925 in Philadlphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ada Carter Vandegrift. Ada was a retired Cook for Beacon Manor Home for Adults, she was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Beacon, were she was a long standing member of the Woman’s Association Deacon’s and Choir, she was also a member of The Dorcas Guild, Beacon. Survivors include her close friend Jackie Bucelot-Mills of Beacon. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at The First Presbyterian Church of Beacon, 50 Liberty St. Beacon, NY 12508. Followed by services at 11:30 am. Pastor Ben Larson-Wohlbrink will officiate. Interment in Bristol Cemetery, Bristol. PA will be at the convenience of the family.
