Adele Elaine Henry, a lifelong Beacon resident passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2024; at the age of 71. She was born in Beacon, New York on August 24, 1953 daughter of the late James Council Henry and Altha (Boone) Henry. She attended Beacon City Schools and graduated from Beacon High School, class of 197_. She went on to attend SUNY Cortland, where she graduated with an associate degree.
Adele worked for over 30 years at the Fishkill Corrections Facility in Beacon, starting in secretarial and worked her way to become a corrections officer which she attained the rank of Sergeant, and later retired in 2007.
Adele was blessed with her daughter Eboni Chanel McCall, who survives her at home. Along with her daughter, Adele is survived by her two sisters and her two brothers: David Henry, Diane Henry, Joann (John) McKinney, Anthony Brian Henry (Tracey Clark). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Along with her parents, Adele was predeceased by her two sisters and one brother: Denise Nelson, Jean Henry, James Council Henry Jr., and her uncle Theodore Henry who recently passed on September 21, 2024.
Her Family & Friends will gather for viewing on Friday October 25, 2024 from 11AM to 12PM at the Springfield Baptist Church, 8 Mattie Cooper Square Beacon, NY, where a Home-Going Service will be celebrated at 12 NOON followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
