Agnes V. Campilii, a lifelong Newburgh resident, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon, NY; at the age of 94. She was born in Newburgh, NY on July 3, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph & Anna (Palagy) Danko.

She worked as a seamstress for many years.

Agnes is survived by her 2 children: Frank Campilii of Long Beach, CA, and Bernadette Fairbanks of Newburgh, NY; her grandson Steven J. Fairbanks of Newburgh, NY; her granddaughter Stephanie (James) Brueckner of New Windsor, NY; her 3 great-grandchildren Jimmy, Andrew, Natalie Brueckner. She is also survived by an older sister Margaret Downer, and several nieces & nephews.

Along with her parents, Agnes was predeceased by her husband Rudolph A. Campilii in December 2006. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters: William Danko, Stephen Danko, Joseph Danko Jr., Rose Travis, Helen Danko, Helen Bouchard, Mary Sebesta, Veronica Santillo, Anna Jaczko and Elizabeth Hutlock.

Her Family will gather to remember Her Life on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 10am to 11am at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a prayer service will be offered at 11AM followed by interment to the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Rt. 9W, Newburgh, NY.
