Dillon, Andrew James of Olathe, KS, formerly of Beacon, entered into Heaven as a result of a fall, March 9, 2015 in Olathe. He was 47. Born June 23, 1967 in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Bernard F. and Maureen K. O’Sullivan Dillon. Andrew was a Union Painter for Local #2012, Olathe, KS. After receiving his degree from Dutchess Community College he went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Political Science. He was very active in AA having twenty four years sober and he was instrumental in starting the AA Young People’s Group, Beacon. Andrew was a member of St. Joachim’s Church, Beacon, and served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Andrews ability to find humor in anything and his compassion for others will be hugely missed, being able to make light of difficult situations and find humor in others was part of his love. In fact if you were part of his jokes you knew you were loved. Survivors include: his wife Maria Santiago-Padin, his daughter Arianna Dillon, his father Bernard Dillon and his companion Joan Tomlins of Beacon, his mother, Maureen Dillon and her companion Gail Kirkup of Fishkill, a brother, Bernard Dillon and his wife Krista of LaGrange, his sister, Jeanmarie and her husband Russell Joseph of Beacon, his nephews Russell, Ayden, Ethan and Hunter and his niece Dillon. Visitation will be held Monday March 16, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday, March 17, at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 31 Willow St. Beacon, NY. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
