Armando Perez, a resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023 at the VA Hudson Valley Hospital Castle Point Campus in Wappingers Falls; he was 91-years old. He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on May 28, 1931, son of the late Gregorio Perez and Antonia Veras.
Armando was married in April of 1951 to his beloved wife, Aurora Lopez-Martinez, who survives at home. Soon after he was married, Armando enlisted in the United States Army, and served during the Korean Conflict from October 1, 1951 to July 9, 1953. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to the states to make a home for his family in the Bronx.
He loved being with his family & friends; he also enjoyed playing dominoes and his card games. He was a proud veteran, and even prouder American; always greeted anyone he met with a smile and a “God bless America”.
Along with his wife of 71-years of marriage, Armando is survived by his two daughters and two son: Elsa Perez, Jenny Vera (Esteban), Charles Perez (Lisa), Lawrence Perez. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother and his sister.
His Family will gather with Friends on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 2-4pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a prayer service will be led by a priest from St. Mary Mother of the Church followed by a military honor tribute.
