Barbara Humeston

Humeston, Barbara M. of St. Johnsville, NY formerly of Beacon, entered into rest peacefully, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY. She was 73. Born March 23, 1938, in Athol, MA, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Clara Mary Beauchemin Olmstead. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Carl Humeston on February 20, 1987. She was a retired Bus Driver for Brown Bus Co. in Little Falls, NY, and a Former Driver for Head Start, Beacon. She was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church, Beacon. Survivors include four children, Richard Humeston and his wife Sue of Fort Myers, FL., Linda Stephens and her husband Claude of Clearwater, FL., Cheryl Emigh and her husband Gregory of Wallkill, Kyle Humeston of St. Johnsville, NY., three sisters, Gloria Smith of Warrensburgh, NY, Patricia Olmstead, and Tina Olmstead of Statesville, NC, two brothers, William and Gary Olmstead of NC., eight grandchildren, Brandon Stephens, Trevor Emigh, Dylon Stephens, Amanda Humeston, Hunter Humeston, Jeremy McCumber, Kristofor McCumber, and Joshua Doxtater, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY.
