Barbara C. (Calaluca) Richards

Barbara C Richards of Beacon, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on January 9, 2023 after a long illness; she was 82 years old.

Barbara was a devoted mother and dedicated nursing professional at Hudson River State Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, NY. She was a parishioner of St Joachim Church of Beacon, and St. Martin de Porres in Poughkeepsie. Her easy going and open nature allowed her to cross generational boundaries with ease.

She is survived by her devoted son Stephen of Beacon NY; who cared for her.

She was predeceased by daughter Suzanna Lynn; sons Christopher and Mark; brother Charles J. Calaluca; parents Charles C. Calaluca and Rosalie (Heybruck) Calaluca. Barbara was a loving and caring soul who brightened the day of everyone she came in contact with.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon. As per Barbara’s wishes a private cremation without calling hours. Her Family & Friends will gather for a Graveside Service at 10:00AM on Friday, July 21, 2023 in the Calvary Cemetery, 73 LaGrange Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY.
