Barbara Ann (Garrison) Varian (Bobbi Ann) Beacon – With her family by her side, on January 31, 2012, Barbara Ann Varian, 64 quietly passed away at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Born in Beacon, NY on March 14, 1947 Bobbi Ann was the daughter of the late Harry Garrison Sr. and Barbara (Butler) Garrison. A lifelong Beacon resident, Bobbi Ann attended Beacon Schools and was a 1965 graduate of Beacon High School. She was an avid bowler and bowled in many leagues throughout her life, she also loved playing Wii Bowling with her family and taking care of stray animals, feeding anything from stray cats and squirrels to raccoons and deer. From 1974 to 1975 she owned and operated The Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Cold Spring, NY and from 1992 to 2006 she was the owner and operator of Messages Plus Answering Service in Beacon, NY. On November 3, 1974 in Fishkill, NY she married Donald Varian Sr., who survives at home. In addition to her husband, Bobbi Ann leaves behind many memories to be cherished by her children, son and daughter in law, Donald and Amy Varian of Beacon, ; a daughter, Jennifer Varian, of Beacon; one brother, Harry Garrison Jr., of Beacon; adoptive daughter and her husband, Tina and Elmer Arroyo; step daughters Paulette and Denise Varian and their children. She also leaves behind, four grandchildren and three adoptive grandchildren, Allison and Michael Varian, Trinity and Serenity Smith and Elmer Jr., Mercedes and Jayden Arroyo. Cousins; Elliot and Lorraine Monroe, Clarence J. Butler and Sharon Bailey, one nephew Richard Monroe, two nieces and their families; Heather and Steve Hulse and their children, Anthony, Stevie and Tyler, and Holly and David Rivera. And many friends and other extended family members. Bobbi Ann was pre-deceased by one son Anthony Varian and her sister in law Kathy Garrison. Viewing will be held at Libby Funeral Home on Thursday February 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Joachim Cemetery Washington Ave. Beacon.
