Beatrice 'Betty' Brinkerhoff

Beatrice ‘Betty' Brinkerhoff, 91, a longtime Poughkeepsie resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon. She was born in New York, NY on October 12, 1929, daughter of the late John & Bessie (Korytkowska) Laskowski. Betty made a career as a bookkeeper for various area companies and medical groups, until she retired. She was known for her love of doll collecting, and shopping especially any local flea market; she loved them all. She was predeceased by two-husbands, Richard L. Goldsmith on January 12, 1979 and Roy ‘Buzzy' Brinkerhoff on December 31, 2010. Betty is survived by her two sons and step-daughter: Michael T. Goldsmith and his wife Carole, Richard L. Goldsmith and his wife Kate, JoAnn Brinkerhoff. She is also survived by her sister Julie Lorgan, and her 4 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Along with her husbands, she was also predeceased by her son, Lawrence ‘Larry' D. Goldsmith. Her Family will gather for a Graveside Service will be held at a later date on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
