Carl L. Barker, Sr.

Carl L. Barker, a resident of Hopewell Junction, passed away on May 18, 2023 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY; at the age of 74. He was born on October 9, 1948 in Ogdensburg NY.

Carl proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966-1972, and received an honorable discharge for his service. He worked as a correction officer for many years, retiring from Fishkill Correctional Facility in Beacon, NY; until he retired.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Carl left behind his wife Viola; his 3 sons Clinton, Carl Jr. & Thomas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His Family will gather to honor him at 111:00AM Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, New York; where the United States Navy Honor Guard will rendered Military Honors.
