Charlotte Henderson

Henderson, Charlotte M. of Beacon, formerly of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Elant Nursing Home, Fishkill. She was 93. Born June 11, 1920 in Wappingers Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Elliott and Dorothy Logan Montfort. Charlotte was the widow of the late John W. Henderson who predeceased her in 1977. She was a member of The Wappingers Falls First United Methodist Church and The Beacon Getabouts. She was a retired Secretary for The Southern Dutchess News, Wappingers Falls. Survivors include a son Robert Henderson and his wife Jeanine of Beacon, a daughter Janice Peterson of Beacon, three grand children Bryan Henderson and Eric Henderson, and his fiance Tiffany Eames, and Susan Peterson, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Elliott Montfort and his wife Alice, and her son-in-law Carlton Peterson. Visitation will be held Monday, December 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. Services will be held Tuesday, December 3, at 11:00 am at Libby Funeral Home, Inc., Pastor Charlise Dorsey will officiate. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls, NY.
