Claudette Black, 95, was Called Home to the Lord on January 26th, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in their home. A longtime Beacon resident, Claudette was born in Suippes Marne, France on January 6th, 1926 to Pierre Marcel Arsene Felix and Genevieve Marie Eugenie (Thierion) Felix. On December 27th, 1947, she married her late husband George A. Black at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. George and Claudette were married for 17 years before his passing in 1964. Claudette worked for many years as a seamstress for Beacon looms until she retired in 1996. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as sitting on the porch and enjoying the sunshine and her lunch visits to Wendy's. Her family will hold these memories dear and remember them fondly. Claudette is survived by her two sons, Michael (Sandra) Black and Patrick Black, and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Black. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Claudette is predeceased by her son George P. Black in 2004, and a brother who passed as an infant. "Le Seigneur répond é Moïse: Je viendrai moi-même vous conduire.
