Waksmundzki, Colleen Greenough, a life long resident of Beacon, entered into rest Friday, April 12, 2013 at Florida Hospital , Orlando FL. She was 26. Born June 8, 1986 in Poughkeepsie , NY , she is the daughter of Rush M. and Linda Coughlin Greenough and the wife of Piotr Waksmundzki. Colleen was a graduate of Beacon High School where she was active as a member of the Math Club, and President of the Honor Society, she later graduated from the State University Of New York at New Paltz with a degree in Finance. On October 8, 2011 she married Piotr A. Waksmundzki in St. Mary’s Church, Fishkill. Colleen's passion came from her love for and from family which she was constantly surrounded by, which inspired her to be a wonderful mother and wife and allowed her to inherit her creative skills in knitting and crocheting, especially her famous Christmas stockings for the great grandchildren, continuing the tradition started by her Aunt Helen and Grandmother. Mr. Waksmundzki survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Magdalin (2) and Makenzie (2 mos.), her parents, Rush and Linda Greenough of Beacon, her sister and best friend, Erin Greenough Alencastro and husband Christian of Beacon, two brothers, Rush Greenough IV and significant other, Terry Williams of Beacon, and Christopher Greenough and wife Mandy of Phoenix, AZ, her father and mother in law, Zbigniew and Maria Waksmundzki of Beacon, her brother in law, Bartosz Waksmundzki of Beacon, a nephew and niece, Mason and Macy Alencastro, and a nephew, Cameron Greenough, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Leonard and Grace Coughlin, and her paternal grandparents, Rush and Adella Greenough. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 17, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon , NY . A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, April 18, at 11:00am at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson St. Fishkill. Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Beacon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the family, in order to start a college fund for Colleen and Piotr’s children. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D.
