Corinne Dickson

Dickson, Corinne Ann of Beacon, entered into rest, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 88. Born September 23, 1928 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of Vincent O’Herron and Mary E. Morrissey. Corinne was a retired Correctional Officer with Fishkill Correctional Facility. She was a member of The Gadabouts of Fishkill, the only remaining original member of St. John’s Exercise Program, a member of St. John’s Seniors, Sisters of the Cornerstone, a member of St. Joachim’s-St. John’s Church, and a friend to all. Survivors include: Her son Gary J. and his husband Bruce Brown of San Francisco, CA., her daughter, Ann and her wife Susan Kennedy of White Plains, her brother, John ‘Jack’ O’Herron and his wife Ceci of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews, and friends of all ages, you know who you are. She was predeceased by her husband Roy E. Dickson on December 31, 1991, her sister Mary Ellen Coffey and her husband Richard, her brothers, Vincent and his wife Beverly O’Herron and Paul O’Herron, her aunts and uncles, John and Dorothy Morrissey, Ann Reidy and Bernice Cowin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim’s Church 51 Leonard St. Beacon, NY 12508. A celebration of Corinne’s life will follow with details after Mass. Inurnment/burial will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Rte 9, Fishkill. She will be laid to rest with her husband Roy in the Veterens section. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Joachim’s-St. John’s 31 Willow St. Beacon, NY 12508.
