Lindsay, David ‘Shag’ of Kingston, NY entered into rest June 23, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 89. Born March 21, 1925 in York, SC, he was the son of the late James Haywood and Alice Miller Lindsay. He was the widower of the late Evelyn Tyler Lindsay. David was a retired Laborer for Hutton Brick Co., KIngston, he was a WWII Army Veteran who served at Pearl Harbor. Survivors include, his daughters, Pamela Lindsay, Michele Lindsay-Washington and her husband Bobby, his sons, Wesley Lindsay and his wife Michelle, Barry SweetJackson and his wife Cheri, grandsons, Philip Lindsay, Aaron Brown, William Brown Jr., David Lindsay and his wife Jill, Simpson Wesley Brown-Lindsay and Cyrus Lindsay, granddaughters, Nichele Mayfield, Lanese Brown, Keisha Jackson, many great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and very close to his heart – step-daughter Camille Jones and her three children, best friend Howard Green and his wife Audrey, and dear friend Charlotte. In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by, his siblings, Mary, Carrie, James, Walker, and Pierre. Visitation will be held, Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Point Of Praise 243 Hurley Ave. Kingston, NY where, at 2:00 pm Funeral Services will take place. Refreshments will follow at Point Of Praise. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Montrepose Cemetery, Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 am.
