Donna Mara

Donna L. Mara, a lifelong Beacon resident, entered into rest Monday, April 18, 2011 at her home, she was 51. Born November 13, 1959 in Beacon, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Grace Wilson Plimley. In Pougfhkeepsie on September 25, 1982 she married Robert L. Mara, Mr. Mara survives at home. In addition to her husband, family members include the joy of her life, her daughter Merideth Ann Plimley of Beacon, and their dog Kitsune whom she liked to spoil and treat as a ‘grandchild’. Donna was a homemaker who had a wonderful sense of humor, and a great passion for cooking, and gardening, she also loved to read, and enjoyed watching old TV Westerns, and listening to country and Irish music. Survivors include Her sisters Terry Pardovich and her husband John of Beacon, Sharon Horton of Beekman, Norma Kocker of Germany, and Mary Ann Rich of Highland Falls, and several nieces and nephews.
