Douglas Jackson

Douglas F Jackson, Sr., (AKA Bukka) born February 27,1925; and he died October 28, 2018 at St Luke's Hospital, where he was recently hospitalized for pneumonia. Blessed with a long, rich life enhanced by walking 365-days a year until the last few years. He is survived by his devoted wife Pocahontas Jackson, and his many, loving family members who will miss him, but remember him with fond memories. A Beaconite for 90 years, he served honorably in the United States Army in World War ll in the Pacific Arena. Arrangements and care were entrusted to the Libby Funeral & Cremation Services, 55 Teller Ave., Beacon, NY. Family & Friends will gather on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 17 South Avenue, Beacon, where a memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm.
