Edward 'Joe' Lee Porter, Jr.

Edward Lee Porter Jr. was the son of the late Edward Lee Porter Sr. and the late Ollie Porter. He was born on July 5, 1964 in Beacon, NY and transitioned home on May 4, 2022 in Alexandria, VA.

Edward resided in Alexandria until his departed. He was predeceased by his Father Edward Sr.  and Mother Ollie; his grandmothe Marlena Murphy' and sister Madeline Nonnon.

Edward was educated in the Beacon City school System where he graduated in 1982. Edward worked in several occupations in Beacon until he relocated to Virginia.

Edward leaves behind to Mourn him a daughter Tashe' Porter and granddaughter Yazzari Reynolds of Newburgh, New York.

He also leaves to mourn 5 sisters: Marion Groover of Beacon, NY; Marsha Diana Worrell of Piscataway, NJ; Aletha (Gerald) Williams of Tonawanda, NY; Janice Jones of Alexandria, VA and Della Porter of Gastonia, NC. 1 Brother Andrew (Michelle) Porter of Tampa, Fl. He also leaves 4 Aunts Sara Murphy of Orange, VA; Elizabeth Porter of Bronx, NY; Ella-Mae (Herman) of Chesapeake, VA; and Ruth (Stanley) Butler of Middletown, NY and 1 Uncle Lindsey Porter of NY.

15 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews and a host of Cousins, and other relatives and friends.

His Family & Friends will gather on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a Celebration of His Life will be shared. Interment will be private at the discretion of his family.
