Evelyn Mark

Born on June 15, 1924, Evelyn Ruth Mark expired on April, 15, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She spent her life and raised her family in Beacon, NY. She lost her husband Joseph Mark in 1999. She participated in the Beacon PTA and volunteered with both The League of Women Voters and The Beacon Public Library. In 1986 she received her B.A. in Political Science from SUNY New Paltz. She was also an active member of the Malzingah Chapter of the DAR through which she was active in the administration of the Madam Brett Homestead. She is survived by her sons John J. Mark, who lives in Federal Way, WA, and Garth T. Mark, who resides in Brooklyn, NY. Her sisters Mary, Lillian and Dorothy predeceased her. There will be a graveside funeral service at Fishkill Rural Cemetery on Saturday, April 26 at 11AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D.
