Arquilla, Gary Joseph of Beacon, entered into rest Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He was 61. Born April 7, 1955 in Beacon, he was the son of the late Augustine J. and Marion E. Pomarico Arquilla. Gary was retired from New York State Department of Transportation, he was a life member of Tompkins Hose, Chandler’s Drum and Bugle Corp. and St. Joachim’s Church. Survivors include: his companion, Michelle Brickley of Beacon, a daughter Arika Arquilla of Pine Bush, aunts, Gerry Arquilla, Deanna Arquilla, Jean Arquilla and Rosalie Pomarico, all of Beacon, cousins, Valerie Arquilla Newman, Vincent Arquilla, Joseph Penzetta, Kathy Curtin, Cindy Pomarico, John Pomarico, Thomas Pomarico and Michael Pomarico. Many other cousins to numerous too list. He was predeceased by, his uncle’s, Vincent Arquilla, Joseph Arquilla, Bill Fischer, Raymond Macdonald, Donald Pomarico and Charles Pomarico his aunt’s, Mary Fischer, Ann Penzetta, Barbara Pomarico,and Laura Kudzia. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church 51 Leonard St. Beacon, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 325 Washington Ave. Beacon, NY.
