Gary F. Maneri, a life-long Beacon resident passed away suddenly on September 19, 2023 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY; at the age of 61. He was born in Beacon, NY on May 15, 1962, son of Joyce Carolyn (Dyson) Maneri and the late Francis Joseph Maneri. He attended Beacon City Schools, and graduated from Beacon High School, class of 1980.
On October 24, 1998 in Beacon, NY, a beautiful day it was, he married the love of his life Karen M. Dross, who survives him at home. He will be remembered for being a devoted husband, through sickness and health.
Gary was a skilled tradesman, he owned and operated his own construction business, Maneri Exterior; proudest moment was when he got to work alongside with his son and best-friend Owen. He also enjoyed working alongside his brother Frank with Maneri Roofing.
Gary was a huge sports lover, an avid Mets, NY Giants and Knicks fan. He also loved anything Marvel & DC Comics. He enjoyed his Friday Night in the ‘Gee Man Cave’ with his family and friends. Gary was a gentle giant, with a big heart for everyone. He will be remembered for not only being a devoted and loving husband & father but an amazing friend.
Along with his wife of almost 25-years, Karen Maneri and his mother Joyce Maneri, Gary is survived by his son Owen F. Maneri, and his brother Frank Maneri. He was a beloved uncle to 5 nieces, 4 nephews: Angelina Maneri, Mikey Serino, Jenna Serino, Miranda Dross, DJ Dross, Jonthan Lombardi, Sierra Lombardi, Savannah Lombardi and Josh Lombardi; and godfather to Daniel Way. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-laws, Bob & Beverly Dross, and brother-in-law David (Dia) Dross. And his infamous Band of Brothers whom he belonged to: Jimmy, Mark, Dave, Steve and Brendan; sadly one predeceased, John. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dears friends.
Along with his father, Gary was predeceased by his sister Paula Serino-Hunt.
His Family will celebrate His Life at a later time at their convenience, in the way that Gary would have wanted it, with a BIG PARTY.
