George J. Pelaccio

George J. Pelaccio, a life-long Peekskill resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the New York Presbyterian-Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor, NY; he was 57 years old. He was born in Peekskill, NY on December 13, 1964, son of the late James Joseph Pelaccio Sr. and Betty Stalter.

George was a very humble individual, he never asked for much; even during the times when he was homeless. He had a great big smile which he greeted everyone he met along his days. He was a gentle giant. He often would love to be at the Peekskill Riverfront Green Park, to enjoy the outdoors and fishing; and enjoyed watching movies. He loved learning about his native American roots. He was part Ramapough-Lenape & Seneca descent.

George is survived by his beloved companion and fiancée, Anna Howard; they shared over 50-years of a friendship, and the last couple years a love for each other. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family & friends.

Along with his mother and father, George was predeceased by his brother James Joseph Pelaccio Jr and his sister Geraldine Pelaccio.

Arrangements were entrusted to the professional care of the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, New York.
