George A. Stefanek, 80, a resident of Staatsburg and former resident of the Green Briar Home for Adults in Millbrook, passed away on December 28, 2020 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was born in New York, NY on January 13, 1940, son of the late John & Mary (nee Kurnot) Stefanek. George proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict from 1957-1961, and was honorably discharged. George will be laid to rest with military honors from at United States Army Honor Guard on Thursday, January 21, 2021 11:00AM at the LaGrange Rural Cemetery, Overlook Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
