Irene M. Pulcastro

Irene M. Pulcastro, a lifelong Beacon resident passed away peacefully at her home in Beacon on January 8, 2024; at the age of 104. She was born in Beacon, NY on June 8, 1919, daughter of the late James & Augusta (nee Bloomer) Caruso.

Irene worked as a factory worker for many years at the Bobrich Blanket Factory in Beacon, until she retired. She belonged to the Beacon Seniors Club, and most importantly enjoyed the company and love of her family.

Irene is survived by her daughter and two sons, Sally Pulcastro, Michael Pulcastro and Richard Pulcastro; sadly she was predeceased by two daughters and a son, Carol Iverson, Mary Jerzak and Thomas Pulcastro. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Paige and Kelly, and three great-grandchildren Taylor, Alexis and Emma; her sister Jacqueline Soltish and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & great-nephews also survive her.

Along with her three children, she was predeceased by her husband Salvatore Pulcastro on March 14, 1966. Irene was also predeceased by her five sisters & two brothers: Ruth Constantino, Helen Basso, Alma Pappas, Marion Lange, Augusta Caruso, Jim Caruso and George Caruso.

Her Family will receive Friends on Tuesday, January 16^th from 9-10:30am at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:15am, Tuesday, January 16^th at the St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon, followed by interment at St. Joachim Cemetery, 325 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
