James Gerardes

Gerardes, James A. III (Tony) of BEACON, entered into rest Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his home. He was 44. James was born March 14, 1968 in Brooklyn, NY. The son of James A. Gerardes Jr., and Barbara Gerardes Grant. James was a Plumber in NYC, he also served in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 1996, and was a graduate of John Jay High School in Hopewell Junction. He was a member of Star Of Bethlehem Church, Beacon. He is survived by his father, James A. Gerardes Jr., of Hopewell Junction, and his mother, Barbara Gerardes Grant of Brooklyn, two brothers, Randal Gerardes and his wife Diana of Fishkill, and Russel Gerardes of Hopewell Junction, two sisters, Simone Jonas of Orlando, FL., and Roxanne Burrows of Hamden, CT., as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held Saturday January 19, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Star Of Bethlehem Baptist Church, 139 Main St. Beacon, NY 12508 Funeral Services to follow at 3:00 pm at The Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, 139 Main St. Beacon. Pastor Mills will officiate. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D.
