Quirk, Jeanne Collins-Currier Jeanne Collins-Currier Quirk of Beacon, NY, formerly of Sunapee, NH, entered into rest Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Elant @ Wappingers Falls, she was 87. Born August 3, 1924 in New London, NH, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lilian Serviss Collins. She was the widow of the late James Currier and John F. Quirk. Jeanne was a devoted volunteer at the Beacon Salvation Army, where she taught Sunday School, worked on the relief truck, the Home League and helped make the Christmas and Thanksgiving baskets. She was a graduate of Sunapee High School, Sunapee, NH. She is survived by her four children, James L. Currier and his wife Ann of Beacon, Hester J. and her husband David Langley of Beacon, Dennis C. Quirk and his wife Rose of Beacon and Timothy A. Quirk of Newburgh. A brother, Hugh Collins and his wife Jan of Sunapee, NH, two sisters, Edythe Dexter of Georgia Mills, NH and Floy Smith of Keene, NH, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY, where, at 8:30 pm services will take place. Captain Doris Gonzalez will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
