John Steffanci

Steffanci, John Joseph III of Las Vegas, entered into rest Friday, March 4, 2016 peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was 53. Born December 19, 1962 in Beacon, he was the son of John and Elaine Clark Steffanci Jr. John was an Advertising Executive for iHeart Media Group, Las Vegas, he was the former Co-host of the WPDH morning show with the late Stew Schantz from 1985-1988. He started the annual ‘Roof-a Thons’, which raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, a proud accomplishment. He also hosted WEOK Interview and call-in program Talk Back, and a daytime talk show and morning show at WKIP in Poughkeepsie from 1989-1994. John attended Beacon City Schools and graduated in 1981. He graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1985. Survivors include: his long time partner Sam of Las Vegas, his parents John Jr. and Elaine Steffanci of Wappingers Falls, his sister, Pam (John) Wood of Cornwall, nieces, Jessica and Jenna Wood, His much loved dog Ollie, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY where at 2:00 PM services will take place.
