Jose Ramon Claudio

Jose Ramon Claudio, a resident of Newburgh, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, after a brief battle with cancer; he was 72 years old. Jose was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on November 3, 1949, son of the late Pedro Claudio and Paula Torres. He migrated from Puerto Rico in the 1960.

Jose worked as a electrician and plumber, jack-of-trade, for several years, until he stopped. He thoroughly enjoyed the helping others and being there.

Jose is survived by wife Karen Dizefalo, and his children: Maribel Claudio and her husband Juan A. Rodriguez , Aida Claudio, and Jose Ramon Claudio Jr and his wife Mallary. His five grandchildren: Ivan C. Claudio, Natalia M. Rodriguez, Miguel R. Claudio, Carter R. Claudio and Rowan R. Claudio. Jose is also survived by five brothers, one sister, and several nieces & nephews.

His Family will gather to remember his life on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a prayer service will be offered at 7:00 pm.
