Joseph Vincent Condon, Jr.

Joseph V. Condon Jr., a life-long Beacon resident, passed away on January 3, 2022 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY; at the age of 67 years old. He was born on August 17, 1954 in Poughkeepsie, NY, son of Nancy (Hellman) Condon and the late Joseph V. Condon Sr.

Joe attended the St. Joachim School in Beacon and graduated from Beacon High School class of 1973.

He worked at IBM in East Fishkill, and then he opened his own business, Joe’s Irish Pub in Beacon which he owned & operated for many years until closing in 2020.

Joe had a love for motorcycles, and traveling to Florida. He was a member of the Dutchess County Pistol Association, and various other gun clubs. He was a longtime member of the Beacon Elks Lodge 1493.

Along with his dear mother Nancy Condon, Joe is survived by his two children: Eve (Salvatore) Competiello and Joseph (Caressa) V. Condon III; and his four grandchildren: Collin, Alex, Ayla and Alana; his longtime companion, Letitia ‘Rocky’. He is also survived by his two brothers: Matthew Condon and Christopher (May Rita) Condon; and his nephew Christopher Condon Jr; and a host of friends.

His Family will receive friends on Monday, January 10th from 4-8pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10am, Tuesday, January 11th at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will be at a later date in the Cold Spring Cemetery, at the convenience of his family.
