June Fleming

June Mildred Galloway Fleming, the beloved daughter of the late Cabey Galloway, Sr., and Golden Johnson Galloway, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Passages Hospice in New Orleans, LA. Born June 1, 1932, in Fishkill, New York, she worked in manufacturing until her retirement in 1995. June has lived in Maryland, Kansas, and Virginia, before settling in Georgia. Her husband, Ralph Fleming preceded her in death, along with her brother Cabey Galloway and sister Joan Galloway Whitener, nephews Eddie Galloway and Brian Galloway and a great granddaughter, Jamilah. June leaves behind five children: Golden R. Richardson and husband Thomas, of Woodbridge, VA, Piarie S. Hickman and husband Theodore, of Snellville, GA, Floyd C. Fleming of Alexandria, VA, Illyana S. Fleming of Beacon, NY and Odonna N. Fleming of Beacon, NY. She also has nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. There are also many cousins, nieces and nephews, and a family of friends who celebrate her life. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY, where, at 11:00 am a celebration of June’s life will be held.
