Linda M. Pagels, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 1, 2023 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie; at the age of 73. She was born in New York, NY on May 6, 1950, daughter of the late Armand & Mary (Pedretti) Martinelli.
On February 15, 1975 at St. Brigid Church in Brooklyn, NY, she married Donald E. Pagels, who survives her at home.
Linda worked as a childcare worker at the Children’s Home in Poughkeepsie, NY for many years, until she retired.
Linda and Donald were parishioners of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom she cherished.
Along with her husband of 48 years of marriage, Linda is survived by her loving children: Andrew J. Pagels and his wife Candis, Jeanine M. Pagels-Evans and her fiancé Anthony, and Alyssa L. Campbell and her husband Ramone; her six grandchildren, Giovanni Bowley, Alexis Campbell, Alianna Campbell, Alaya Campbell, Kensley Pagels and Adley Pagels. She is also survived by her brother Charles C. Martinelli and his wife Antoinette, and several nieces & nephews.
Her Family will gather with Friends on Thursday, June 8th, 2023 from 5-8pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1pm, Friday, June 9th at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon followed by a private interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
