Lorraine C. Evans Barhydt

Lorraine C. Barhydt, a lifelong Putnam/Dutchess County resident, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, November 25, 2023; at the age of 66. She was born on August 10, 1957 in Mahopac, NY; daughter of the late Franklin & Lorraine (Lehman) Evans. Lorraine worked as a school bus driver in the Carmel Central School District for 30+ years, until she retired.

Lorraine is survived by her three children: Danielle Barhydt (Mike Piercy), Bobbi-Jo Barhydt (Peter

Klingel), and Dennis Barhydt; Her husband, John "Jack" McCarthy & her faithful beagle, Hammy. Lorraine often stated that her greatest gifts in life were her children & her beloved grandchildren: Gabrielle & John Piercy III "JP", Connor & Cody Klingel, & Drake & Effie Barhydt. Lorraine, "Rene" to her brothers, sisters, neices, & nephews was sadly predeceased by her grandson, Bryce Klingel, her parents, older sister, & step brother. She will be greatly missed.

Interment will be private at the discretion of her Family.
