Luis Domingo Olivo-Paz, a resident of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Veterans Hospital in Montrose, NY, was Called Home to the Lord on March 1, 2022; he was 83 years old. He was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico on April 21, 1938, son of the late Domingo Olivo and Lydia Paz.
Luis proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, during the Vietnam War; he had two-enlistments. First he entered from New York, NY on April 1, 1957 to May 6, 1960 where he returned to the Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Later he served again entering from New York, NY on July 20, 1961 to April 21, 1962 where he finished his term in Philadelphia, PA, and received an honorable discharge for his service to the country.
Unfortunately, Luis leaves no-family behind to mourn his loss. The Brotherhood of the Marine Corp has a strong-bond, and the Brothers of the Marine Corp League at the Carmen Ramputi Detachment 861 in Beacon, NY will assist and standby Luis, and carry him through to his final resting place.
