Marie H. Trimble, a life-long Beacon resident, passed away at her home on August 7, 2023; at the age of 97. She was born on December 7, 1925 in East Rochester, NY, daughter of the late Ervin Edward Hiney & Mary (Hellmann) Hiney. Marie attended Beacon City Schools, and graduated from Beacon High School, class of 1943.
On April 22, 1950 at St. Joachim Church in Beacon, NY, she married Alexander Joseph Trimble, who predeceased her after 31-years of marriage.
Marie was a devoted wife and loving mother; she loved singing with her husband as he played piano. Later in life she worked as a secretary for the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement at Graymoor in Garrison, NY in their retreat department; she thoroughly enjoyed working there.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon; where she was a former member of the St. Joachim Women’s Club and the St. John's Seniors. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas - Court Liberatta Chapter.
Marie is survived by four children: Alex (Pauline) Trimble, Susan Trimble, Robert (Zenaida) Trimble, James (Patricia) Trimble. She cherished her 12 grandchildren: Stephen (Lindsay), Michael, Christopher, Kyle (Alison), Christina, Joseph (Lauren), Paul, Hope (Peter), Isaac, James, David and Benjamin. And she adored her 11 great-grandchildren: Audrey, Nora, Adrianna, Lilie, Heidi, Claire, William, Emma, Christian, Iris and Ellyanna. She is also survived by her brother Ervin Edward Hiney Jr..
Along with her husband, Marie was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Cindy Trimble, her sister Patricia Formichelli, and her grandson Brian Trimble.
Her Family will gather with Friends on Saturday, August 19 from 9-10am at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon. From there proceed to St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM. Interment will be private at St. Joachim Cemetery, Beacon.
