Mary (Moraitis) Mericle

Mary H. Mericle, 81, a longtime Beacon resident passed away peacefully on October 22, 2019 at the Monteflore/St. Lukes-Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was born on December 25, 1937 in the Town of Wappinger, NY, daughter of the late Stathe George Moraitis & Beatrice Conkling. Her husband, Charles Mericle Sr., predeceased her on May 29, 2011. Mary is survived by her three sons: Charles (Brenda) Mericle, Harold Mericle and Scott Mericle; and her 2 granddaughters: Kayla and Oliva Mericle. She is also survived by her brother and 2 sisters: Louis Moraitis, Demetria (Gene) Brown and Christina Stone. Mary enjoyed the company of her family, she will be greatly missed. She will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother & sister. Her family & friends will gather privately at the Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon. A private cremation will follow then interment will be privately at the convenience of her family.
