Ofelia Londoño Caro, 83, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born in Colombia on October 9, 1936, daughter of the late Onofre Londoño and Carmen Rua. Ofelia worked for many years in Colombia as a registered nurse, until she came to the United States to live with family. Ofelia is survived by her two sisters and one brother: Luz Marina Adumada, Amanda Herran and Jaime Londoño. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & great-nephews. Ofelia was predeceased by her husband, Umberto Caro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10am, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon, followed by interment to the St. Joachim Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
