Patricia Ellen Foley passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on April 22 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon New York, after a long illness.
Pat was fearless, courageous and her own person to the end as she was her whole life. Patricia suffered no fools nor did she suffer reasonable people, as her logic was her own. In later years she developed a spirituality that guided her in navigating the realities of life. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a flair for colors and loved to give advice.
In her earlier years she had an affinity for animals and is remembered for her pet raccoon that followed her everywhere. Pat completed college, became a Respiratory Therapist and practiced for several years. She was also involved in community theater.
Pat was unique, funny, complicated, highly opinionated, but always wonderful. We loved her and will miss her terribly.
She is survived by her son, Kevin, her former husband Richard; her sister Mary Conrad (Paul Gurdak), brother Tom (Susan) Farmer and sister in law Daphne Farmer; her aunt Elizabeth Mescall. She is also survived by her nephew, John (Jana) Farmer and nieces and nephews. Mary, Heather (Bill), Tom (Carrie), and Frank (Cindy); grand niece Maeve and grand nephews, Fox and Leif. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Peter Farmer and her older brother Edward Farmer.
A Family Gathering and Celebration of her Life will be held at a future date.
