Patricia Papula

Papula, Patricia ‘Trish’ E., of Beacon and Zephyrhills, FL., entered into rest Friday, November 25, 2016 at Gulfside Hospice, Zephyrhills, FL. She was 70. Born November 9, 1946 in Bell Island, New Foundland, Canada she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Agnes Hickey Hurley. Trish retired from the City of Beacon School District-Transportation Department and was a member of St. Joachim’s Church, Beacon. On August 21, 1965 Patricia married William M. Papula in Cold Spring, he survives her at home. Survivors include: her husband William, two children, William M. Papula Jr., and his wife Michelle of Matamoras, PA and Agnes and her husband Nick Compagnone of Beacon, her brothers and sisters, Carol Carey, Julia Richards, Agnes McKeon, Anita Miller, Patrick Hurley, John Hurley, brother-in-law Hank Milczewski, four grandchildren, Vincent & Analiese Compagnone, Zane & Aidan Papula, as well as several nieces and nephews. After residing in the United States since age 17, Trish proudly became a U. S. Citizen in 2015. She enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Tampa Bay Lightning and sharing her sense of humor with friends and family. Her Irish eyes will be smiling down upon us all. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon. Interment will follow at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Washington Ave. Beacon, NY 12508 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Hospice of your choice.
