Raquel Regina Amador Diaz

Raquel Regina Amador Diaz, formerly of the Bronx, NY and recently a resident of the Wingate at Dutchess Nursing Facility in Fishkill, NY, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022; at the age of 89. She was born in Loíza Aldea, Puerto Rico on December 4, 1933, daughter of the late Jesus Amador and Filomena Falu.

Raquel enjoyed crocheting, tending plants, and cooking her native Puerto Rican food; she particular enjoyed and loved her children and family, especially her grandchildren.

Raquel is survived by her daughter Stephanie Ortiz and her husband Gary Thompson; her four grandchildren, Jasmin Batista, David Diaz, Elizabeth Rivera and Noelle Maria Rivera; her son-in-law Robert Rivera. Sadly she was predeceased by her two sons Edwin and Ronald Diaz, one daughter Elsa Diaz, and her granddaughter Tuchun Cuadro; she is also predeceased by her one brother and two sisters.

Her Family will gather on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 6-8pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where a prayer service will be offered at 7pm.
