Rodriguez, Robert Sr. of Beacon, formerly of the Bronx, entered into rest Monday, February 4, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 73. Born November 30, 1939 in Luquillo, PR, he was the son of the late Anastacio and Petra O’Niel Rodriguez. Robert was a Vocational Education Supervisor for Sing-Sing Correctional Facility, Ossining, as well as a US Army Vietnam Veteran, serving from 1962-1965. He was also a dedicated member of the Tabernacle of Christ Church, Beacon. Survivors include his wife Iris V. Rodriguez at home, two sons Robert Rodriguez Jr. (Brenda) of Beacon and Louis Rodriguez (Denise) of Aurora, CO, a brother Luis Rodriguez of Middletown, six grandchildren: Bryce, Acadia, Matheu, Tori, Hannah and Caleb, a step-daughter Melissa Sims of Yonkers, and a step-son Joshua Richard Negron of Orlando, FL. Visitation will be held Friday, February 8, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Tabernacle de Cristo, Main St. Beacon, after a short recess, at 7:00 PM services will be held. Funeral services will take place Saturday, February 9, at 9:30 AM at Tabernacle de Cristo. Pastor Ricardo Pacheco will officiate. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in Fishkill Rural Mausoleum, Fishkill, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D. Quick at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY.
