Rose M. Pendleton

Rose M. Pendleton, 90, a life-long Beacon resident passed away on January 15, 2021 at the Montefiore St. Luke's-Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. Rose was born on March 13, 1930 in Beacon, NY, daughter of the late Joseph & Gertrude (Boshardt) Mazzacone. She attended Beacon City Schools. On December 24, 1950 at the St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon, she married Howard W. Pendleton, who predeceased her on March 14, 1990, after 39-years of marriage. Rose was a life-long and devout communicant of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Parish in Beacon, receiving all her sacraments along with marriage at St. John the Evangelist Church. Rose worked as a feeder at the Nabisco Factory in Beacon, for 42-years until she retired. She thoroughly enjoyed her Italian Cooking; always preparing the holiday meals and family gatherings. Rose is survived by her 3 three children: Perry A. Pendleton, Penny (Leonard) Splain and Holly Browne (Gary VanDuyn); her two-granddaughters, Carissa Splain and Brianne (Mark) Murphy; and her 1 great-grandson Korbin Charland-Browne. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Anna Pendleton and several nieces & nephews. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Adam Patrick Browne; her sister Anna Taylor; 2 brothers: Louis and Joseph Mazzacone. Her Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19th from 5-8pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am, Wednesday, January 20th at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon, followed by interment to St. Joachim Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
