Rosetta McKinney

McKinney, Rosetta Lee, 51 a resident of Beacon. Entered into rest Sunday, February 26, 2012 at St. Luke’s-Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. Rosetta was born on December 11, 1960 to Inez Saunders Oliver of Sacramento CA. & the late Clark Strange of Newburgh. Rosetta attended school in the Beacon School System. She enjoyed dancing and singing (even though her voice was not that great), she was an intelligent lady with a pleasant personality, she was a mother to all who came into her presence, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, and through her own life experiences she always gave good advice. Rosetta is survived by her companion Lawrence Humphrey of Beacon, two sons; Hasan Strange of Beacon, Lloyd Cummings of Newburgh, two daughters; Shaniesha Strange, and Raniesha Cummings both of Newburgh, two step-daughters; Kihuana Blackmon and Jessica Blue both of Newburgh, five brothers: Nathaniel Saunders of Sacramento, CA, Leroy and Ronald Fox of Poughkeepsie, Charles Fox of Walden, William Jeffery Collins of Phoenix, AZ., one sister; Jasmin Barksdale of Poughkeepsie, two Stepsisters: Terry Watson (Robert) of Berrien Springs MI., and Tonya Thomas (Robert) of Poughkeepsie, eleven grandkids, 2 great grandkids, a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her grand parents Leo & Florence Strange.
