Sandra Gallagher

Gallagher, Sandra A. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 6, 2017. She was 64. Sandra was the former co-owner of Shampoo Unisex in Hopewell Junction, NY. She then started a new career as a Freelance Writer. She had magazine and short stories published and she was also a member of the East Fishkill Women’s Writer’s Group. Born on October 30, 1952 in Beacon, NY, Sandi was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie Osterhoudt. On July 8, 1972 she married Dennis M. Gallagher at St. John’s Catholic Church in Beacon, who survives her at home. She is also survived by her son, Mark Gallagher and daughter-in-law, Kristen Gallagher of Poughkeepsie, and her daughter Erin Daniels and son-in-law Timothy Daniels of Rhinebeck. Her beloved grandchildren, Liam, Paddy and Declan Gallagher and Luke, Owen and Keegan Daniels will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Osterhoudt and his wife Pamela as well as her sister Deborah. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by Sandi. She is predeceased by her nephew John Osterhoudt. Visitation will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon. A funeral service will be held, due to incoming storm, changed and rescheduled for Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon.
