On this day May 5, 2013 our lovely mother and grandmother Sara Lois Faison was called home to be with our Heavenly Father, at the age of 81. She will be greatly missed. She was born on May 27, 1931 in Panola, MS. She was married to the late Daniel Faison Sr. December 16, 1950. She was baptised at the Star Of Bethlehem Baptist Church, 22 North Cedar St. in 1959. She worked at Dorell Hat Factory in Beacon, and Majestic Weaver, in New Windsor until she retired. She loved her children and grandchildren, collecting porcelain dolls, sewing and jewelry. Left to cherish her memory three sons: Daniel Faison Jr., and his wife Mary Rose of Highland, Michael Faison and his wife Sandy of Beacon, Trentwood Faison of Boston, three daughters: Debbie Griffin and her husband Andy of Peekskill, Kimberley Faison of Beacon, Minnie Faison of Newburgh, her grandchildren: Donavan Royall, Daniel Gorton of Poughkeepsie, James Faison and his wife Chantel of Wallkill, Mashelle Miranda and her husband Danny of New Windsor, Tyrone Williamson, Terrence Gorton, Monique Arnold of Newburgh, Latoya, Lastar, and Tache Gorton, Sarah Arnold, Rebecca, Bryan, Dana Sky Faison all of Beacon, Daniel Jr. III of Wappingers Falls, Jill Samberg of Albany, Nakia Mima Faison and wife Nicole of Colorado Spring, CO, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, three sisters: Johnmae House and her husband James of Oakland, MS, Mary Richardson of Oakland, MS, Betty Jean Hester of Chicago, four brothers: C.B. Richardson of Detroit, MI, L.P. Richardson, Will G. Richardson, and John Richardson and his wife Marie all of Jackson, MS, one nephew: Tony Love, and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at The Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Main St. Beacon, where, at 11:00 am a Home Going Service will take place. Reverend Mills will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D.
