Fisher, Sherry (Charlotte May) sadly passed away on February 26, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, after putting up a valiant fight against lung disease. Born on June 20, 1953 in Cold Spring, NY to Carl F. Fisher and Catherine B. Fisher who survive at home. Before graduating from Beacon High School in 1972 she was involved in many causes, one of these being a staged sit-in to protest female dress codes which ended with allowing female students to wear pants to school. She was well liked by fellow students and faculty. Always a strong spirited and outspoken defender of the underdog, willing to take on the bully in any situation. After graduation she enjoyed careers as a Loss Prevention Specialist and a Corrections Officer at Bedford Hills Womens Facility. Sherry was a talented artist in both drawing and painting. She loved hanging out with friends and family, was crazy about scary movies and Disney cartoons. Her ultimate enjoyment came from cruising on her motorcycle which she affectionately referred to as her ‘wife’. Second mom to Robbie and many others, she was loved by all children who knew her no matter what age and leaves behind beloved nieces Carrie Ann, Brandi and Brianna, nephews Justin, Shawn, David Jr. and Ryan and great nephew Gabreil. She is now reunited with our brother Skipper, leaving behind many happy memories with her sisters Debbie, Susie and Cathy Sue and brothers David, Walt, Tom and Timmy. Sherry forever our hero, protector and big sister, we will love and miss you always. Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D.
