Rev. Steven M. Cohen, 61, passed peacefully August 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 10, 1959 in New York, NY, son of the late Morton & Arline (Goldin) Cohen.
On November 4th, 1979, he made the decision to turn his will over to the care of God as he understood him, and 5 years later on November 4th, 1984 on the anniversary of that auspicious occasion, he married his loving wife Linda.
Steve worked for Orange and Rockland Utilities for over 25 years doing everything from educational programs for schools, to gas troubleshooting in the field, and later gas comptroller. He retired last April 2020 in good standing after a long honorable career.
A humble man of faith and integrity, Steven served the Lord faithfully as a member of the Security team at the Mission Church in Holmes NY, and followed Gods calling by working tirelessly as the Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Men of God, a non profit ministry designed to empower men to be better Husbands, Fathers, Sons & Brothers.
Steve was also an active member of a 12-step recovery program, where he was a pillar of strength & support for over 40-years.
He leaves behind a loving family; his wife Linda, his two sons Jonathan and William, his silly dog Dottie, and his brother Roger.
A Celebration of His Life will be held by His Family on Sunday, August 29th at 5:30pm at the Motorcyclepedia Museum, 250 Lake St., Newburgh, NY.
