Susanna G. (Mirto) Bennett

Susanna G. Bennett, a life-long Poughkeepsie resident, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon; she was 78 years old. She was born at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY on April 29, 1944, daughter of the late Frank & Rose (Damico) Mirto.

Susanna worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at the Eden Park Nursing Home in Poughkeepsie, NY; until she retired. She thoroughly enjoyed working and staying active. At home she enjoyed her shows, especially the Little House on the Prairie series, and she loved all her Godfather movies.

Susanna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael & Michele Bennett, and her one granddaughter Sara Bennett.
